The name means “good valley,” and it describes its location at the end of a long valley on the southern part of the island, between the very popular beaches of Elia and Kalafatis. It's a cosmopolitan beach with an Ibiza-like atmosphere in the summer season, thanks to its trendy beach club Lohan. But it attracts all kinds of sunbathers, including families, as there is enough sandy space for everyone, and the shallow waters are safe for children to play in.
This is also a good beach for those who enjoy paddling or kayaking. Facing it is a traditional white Cycladic chapel, and a number of places to eat.
How to Get to Kalo Livadi Beach
There are usually regular buses to Kalo Livadi departing from the Old Port terminal, but that service was interrupted in 2020 and didn't return in 2021. If you’re driving, it takes 25 minutes to reach, and you’ll find a few parking spots right above the beach.
