As you can see on the map above, most of the beaches, or at least the most popular, are on the southern coast of the island. But don’t overlook those in the north, which are increasingly popular. You may walk from Paradise Beach to Psarou, and vice versa.
You arrive in the west, whether you’re coming by ferry or airplane. The main town, called Mykonos Town or Chora, lies between the port and the airport, and that’s where you find the two bus terminals with the buses that take you to the beach -- one by Fabrika square outside the maze of narrow streets, and another by the old port.
